Malibu Rising, Taylor Jenkins-Reid
Set on the beaches of Malibu in the 1980s this book follows the story of surfer and supermodel Nina Riva. We loved immersing ourselves in this story and the twists and turns it throws at you.
Daisy Jones & The Six, Taylor Jenkins-Reid
Perhaps one of our favourite books in the last few years, it follows the story of Daisy Jones and her journey to become rock and roll's greatest star. Told by the members of the band, this story is so much fun we never wanted it to end.
Following on from the success of Daisy Jones & The Six, Amazon Prime has made it into a tv series which does NOT disappoint. They've recorded all the music, the costumes are incredible and the story is just perfect. If you haven't already, read the book and then dash to the sofa to get the series on.
We couldn't talk about all our favourite things without mentioning Selling Sunset. If you haven't watched this, (have you been living under a rock!?) this reality series follows real estate agents in California selling houses for eye-watering prices. With extravagant and over-the-top outfits, cars and drama this show isn't one to miss.
Keeping Up With the Kardashians
We couldn't delve into the world of California without mentioning the Queens of Calabasas, The Kardashians. Now the most famous family in the world, the Kardashian ladies have grown their businesses into a global empire and we can't get enough of watching what they get up to.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
The last reality TV show we promise...The Real Housewives franchise has gone full circle from Beverly Hills to Cheshire, but the original is still our favourite. Successful businesswomen and mothers make up the cast and the show follows their glamorous lives and what they get up to. With houses surrounded by swans and 4 year old birthday parties bigger than most weddings, this series just never gets boring.

We've not made it there yet, but one day we will. Coachella is the iconic music and arts festival held in the Colorado Desert, Indio, California. As well as watching some of the most famous pop stars in the world on stage, we love celeb spotting in the crowd.
Spotted on all our favourite TV shows, this spot looks so beautiful we can't wait to treat ourselves if we're ever in Malibu. Renowned for their delicious sushi and Japanese food, Nobu can be found all over the world but their Malibu spot looks so stunning overlooking the waves of the Pacific Ocean. Fun fact, did you know Robert De Niro is one of their founders?
