Labradorite Gemstone Guide

Found in Canada's Labrador region, the story goes that Labradorite was born from the storms of the Northern Lights. Legend has it that once upon a time, an Inuit warrior believed that the Northern Lights had become trapped in a piece of the stone and struck it with his spear to try and let them out.

It's easy to see why Labradorite has this link to the Northern Lights. It has an incredible iridescence with amazing flecks of colour, which constantly change in the light.

Labradorite is thought to be very powerful gemstone in aiding our sleep. It will help your body reset and let go of all the day's stresses and dramas.

It is also thought to boost creativity and our ability to make connections with one another.

Due to it's iridescent colour, Labradorite has become known as 'The Stone of Mysticism'. It is often used by shamans and healers, as well as being associated with the magical world.

Labradorite can also come in handy for Feng Shui. Placing it in the home is thought to invite peace, serenity and creative freedom into the room. Perfect for a workshop, studio or home office.
